Nesta has 5 self-storage facilities conveniently located across Dublin city. All facilities are located close to major transport links and road networks providing excellent access to customers.

All Nesta Storage Facilities are open 7 days a week and on Thursdays, we open late until 8pm. We are also open on Bank Holidays only closing 4 days in the year for Christmas Day, St. Stephens Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday. Office customers enjoy 24/7 access 365 days.

There is no maximum length of time you can stay. We have many customers who have been storing with Nesta for over 30 years.
Yes, Nesta requires 7 days’ notice for storage units and 2 months’ notice for serviced offices when you want to move out. It is important to notify the reception staff that you vacated the room, so they can terminate your account. This is to avoid being charged further once you have moved out.
Prior to move-in day, you will have signed a license agreement and a storage account will be set up. Your private storage unit will have been pre-allocated based on the unit size required. On move-in day, a member of the team will bring you to your storage unit, show you how to operate the lifts (if the unit is not on the ground floor) and show you the correct loading area and access lift.
On move-out day, when your unit is completely emptied, a member of staff will meet you at the unit to do a final check before cancelling your contract.
Our self-storage operates on a licence agreement which is like a lease, but better suited to the short-term nature of the agreement. All registered self-storage operators will require that you provide your photo ID (valid passport or drivers licence) and proof of address (a utility bill dated within 3 months) for security purposes.
Once you have the necessary documentation you can move in immediately (subject to availability). Nesta also provides online booking, so you can complete the full booking process outside business hours and arrive the next morning with ID and proof of address and then move in straight away.
Yes of course. We actively encourage new users to call in to see the facility and learn how self-storage works and ask any questions you might have. It’s also a great opportunity to pick up some cardboard moving boxes while your there.
Our rooms come in a range of sizes from a 9 square ft room all the way up to a 300 square ft. room. Our rooms are 8 ft in height, similar to most homes. The width of the doors openings is 3.5 ft. We will work with you to make sure you have the room to suit your needs. We are happy to change your room size as your needs change.
Yes, this is one of the main features of Nesta self-storage. There are no charges or penalties and you can change units as often as you like.
We have 24-hour CCTV, individually alarmed rooms, onsite staff, and personal access codes.
For security purposes, every customer is given a personal access code that allows them to gain access to their Nesta facility. This code will also turn off individual alarm on your room. By having your own lock on your room, only you can gain access.
If you use our online booking portal to book your room, you can log into your account and retrieve your access code. You can also ask a member of staff to retrieve it for you, however, you must be the account holder.
Only you have access to your storage unit, but you can nominate family, friends or colleagues to have access too. For security purposes, we recommend that you add the details of any authorised user to your account with Nesta.
Yes, there are Nesta staff onsite 7 days a week at all our facilities, ready to help in any way we can.
By storing your belongings in boxes, it is easier to pack your room and locate items when you need them. By stacking your boxes, you can fit more into your room. In each of our stores and on our website, you will find a full range of cardboard boxes and packaging supplies.
To get the most out of your storage room, it is recommended to pack your belongings in boxes. This allows you to stack everything neatly in your room and you can utilise the full storage space. Label all your boxes and stack labels facing out so that you can easily find items when you need them. Wrap larger items like sofas, mattresses etc. in plastic protectors to ensure they are kept in perfect condition during storage. In each of our stores and on our website, you’ll find a full range of packaging supplies.

There are trolleys available for customers to use to bring their items from their car, van or moving truck to their unit. We can provide shelving for your room if needed. There are lifts available to help make moving into your room as easy as possible. We have a canteen in each centre where you can have a cup of tea and relax while filling, emptying or visiting your room.
Yes, we have dedicated Wi-Fi zones in all our facilities.
If you need a removal service, we are happy to help you arrange this. At each of our facilities, there are trolleys and lifts making it very easy to bring your belongings to your room.
No, our facilities are not heated or temperature controlled.
No, our storage rooms are not fitted with power or lights.
The same way you would pay rent for a private room, apartment or house. We require you to pay one month in advance. One of the easiest ways to pay is by setting up a direct debit.
No, we are a cashless business. So cash payments are not possible.
No, you do not need an Irish bank account, and most customers choose to pay by credit card.
Yes, you can prepay up to 12 months in advance, and we offer discounts for prepayment of accounts.
There are 2 options: You can choose to pay monthly on the same day you activated your contract or you can choose a date that suits you. Please note that once the date has been agreed, it cannot easily be changed.
Generally no, however, some larger commercial rooms and offices do require a deposit. Where a deposit is paid it will be refunded when the unit has been vacated (subject to meeting requirements of the licence agreement).
No, there are no hidden costs. You only pay for the storage you use.
No, the licence fee is an all-inclusive charge.
No, insurance is not included in the storage charge. This is because every customer has very different needs, some customers extend their home insurance policy to their storage room or take out a separate policy with their broker. If neither of these options is convenient, customers can request to be covered under our policy for an additional fee based on the value of the goods in the storage.
Self-storage is more cost-effective and flexible than traditional warehouse storage that requires you to commit to a long term lease. At Nesta, you can rent a room for as short or long as you need it. We only require 7 days’ notice when you want to move out.
