A self-storage is a great option for anyone planning on selling their house. If you are staging your home and need to declutter or need to get everything out of the house, self-storage has room sizes to suit all needs. You can come and go from your storage room as often as you like. Self-storage offers flexible rental terms so you can store for as little as a few weeks, months, or years.

What can I store in 5x5 storage room?

This room is ideally suited for people with a mixture of storage boxes and a few small items of furniture or appliances. This room has a variety of uses from decluttering your home to storing the contents of a studio or 1-bed apartment. It’s also popular with small businesses who need space for important documents, stock, or equipment. Nesta’s 25 square ft. room will typically fit 84 small or 45 medium or 27 large boxes.

What can I store in 5x10 storage room?

This room has a variety of uses, including a larger decluttering project to storing the contents of a 2-bed apartment. It’s also very popular with small businesses who need space for important documents, stock or equipment.  Nesta’s 50 square ft. room will typically fit 189 small or 90 medium or 54 large boxes.

What can I store in 10x10 storage room?

This room is popular with customers who are moving home or renovating. It can accommodate the contents of a 3-bed house. It’s also very popular with businesses who need space for important documents, stock or equipment. Nesta’s 100 square ft. room will typically fit 378 small or 180 medium or 108 large boxes.

What can I not store in self storage?

Here are a few things that you can’t store in your self-storage at Nesta:

 

  • Hazardous material – flammable or explosive items, e.g. fuel
  • Perishable items – food items like produce, meats dairy, etc.
  • Living animals or plants – storage rooms are not suitable for living things
  • Illegal items – stolen items, firearms, explosives, weapons, or ammunition

What services are available at Nesta?

There are trolleys available for customers to use to bring their items from their car, van or moving truck to their unit. We can provide shelving for your room if needed. There are lifts available to help make moving into your room as easy as possible. We have a canteen in each centre where you can have a cup of tea and relax while filling, emptying or visiting your room.

How do I get my belongings to my room?

If you need a removal service, we are happy to help you arrange this. At each of our facilities, there are trolleys and lifts making it very easy to bring your belongings to your room.

Are the storage spaces heated or temperature controlled?

No, our facilities are not heated or temperature controlled.

Do you provide power within the storage rooms as well as lights?

No, our storage rooms are not fitted with power or lights.

How do I pay for my room?

The same way you would pay rent for a private room, apartment or house. We require you to pay one month in advance. One of the easiest ways to pay is by setting up a direct debit.

Do I need an Irish bank account to pay for my storage unit at Nesta?

No, you do not need an Irish bank account, and most customers choose to pay by credit card.

Can I prepay my storage unit?

Yes, you can prepay up to 12 months in advance, and we offer discounts for prepayment of accounts.

When is my rent due?

There are 2 options: You can choose to pay monthly on the same day you activated your contract or you can choose a date that suits you. Please note that once the date has been agreed, it cannot easily be changed.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Generally no, however, some larger commercial rooms and offices do require a deposit. Where a deposit is paid it will be refunded when the unit has been vacated (subject to meeting requirements of the licence agreement).

Are there any hidden costs?

No, there are no hidden costs. You only pay for the storage you use.

Are the storage spaces heated or temperature controlled?

No, the licence fee is an all-inclusive charge.

Is insurance included in the storage charge?

No, insurance is not included in the storage charge. This is because every customer has very different needs, some customers extend their home insurance policy to their storage room or take out a separate policy with their broker. If neither of these options is convenient, customers can request to be covered under our policy for an additional fee based on the value of the goods in the storage.

Can I use self-storage for my business?

Do you accept deliveries on my behalf?

Yes, we do accept deliveries for commercial customers (subject to some terms and conditions). For more information please speak to our storage team.

Is a serviced office the right choice for my business?

Nesta’s serviced offices are a cost-effective and flexible way to run your business without having to commit to a lengthy lease. We have offices ranging from a 2-person suite to a 12-person suite plus access to meeting rooms onsite. All our offices come fully furnished, are equipped with broadband and telecom access.

Are there any hidden costs?

No, there are no hidden costs. You only pay for the storage you use.

Do you charge business rates and ESB?

No, the licence fee is an all-inclusive charge.

Is insurance included in the storage charge?

No, insurance is not included in the storage charge. This is because every customer has very different needs, some customers extend their home insurance policy to their storage room or take out a separate policy with their broker. If neither of these options is convenient, customers can request to be covered under our policy for an additional fee based on the value of the goods in the storage.

You will need to check with your insurance provider on whether you are covered on your home policy. Insurance is compulsory for storing with Nesta. On move-in in you can either choose to take insurance with Nesta or if you are covered by your home insurance policy you can provide Nesta with a copy.

Is Insurance compulsory?

Yes, you will need to have insurance for the contents of your storage room. Our branch team can help advise you on this.

How much does Insurance cost?

Cover will be unique to each customer as it is the dependent on the value you place on your goods in storage.

Why do I need to take Insurance

Just like living in your apartment where building insurance is covered by a third party, you still need to have contents insurance when you live there. Self-storage works the exact same way.

Does my storage quote include Insurance for my goods while in storage?

Your quote will not include Insurance because the level of cover is dependent on the value of goods you are placing in storage.
